Fees

Fees for handwriting and document examination services are as follows.

General Services — $175 / hour, Minimum fee of $875

• Handwriting examination & comparison    • Lab work
• Written statements of opinion    • Exhibit preparation
• Comparison charts 

Courtroom or Hearing Testimony  — $950 / up to 2 hours

Fee beyond the first two hours is $275/hr.  (Fee for testimony due and payable in advance of appearing as expert witness. No testimony will be rendered without pre-payment.)

Long-distance Travel (including inter-island) — $950 / day, plus expenses

Expenses include airfare and lodging, both payable in advance.

Depositions — $500 / up to 2 hours

Fee beyond the first two hours is $275/hr. (Fee for deposition testimony due and payable in advance of deposition.) 

Retainer — $875

A non-refundable retainer of $875 (which represents 5 hours of work) is due and payable upon acceptance of assignment. Based on a typical case involving one questioned signature, the initial retainer usually covers the examination and a written report. However, more signatures and/or an especially complicated case may result in additional hourly fees. Any charges beyond the retainer are due upon delivery of report.
